I mostly do 1 to 2 months OTM puts and calls, QQQ not SPY, I find there's the most chance for me to make money (I tried weeklies and dailys and almost always lose). I've had a few very good bets in the beginning of the summer when the markets weren't this volatile, now I mostly always miss... the market can go up and down for no reason and I can't stand looking at my position with a -40% in a matter of days, especially since it becomes clear that there's less and less chance for it to get ITM, so I manage to get out with a small loss. I feel like I've lost money for the last 5-10 trades when I tried to bet on the market. Now I try to not play that much with options, only for a specific stock if I have a very strong feeling about it like I did with NVAX.
