What’s your process when researching stocks? I want to do my own DD.
These are some of the most frequent questions I’ve received since joining AfterHour in 2023. I found many names during this time that aren’t talked about. Like MQ and AMPL currently and many more in the past. I am usually way too early as a consequence.
I start my research with just my MacBook Air. Usually at any time of the day. It could early morning with my coffee or late night in bed. But it is with my laptop all of the time basically in any location around the house. Starts with curiosity about a company and I will begin visiting their IR page and pull up charts etc.
If the rabbit hole gets deep. I will start my Spotify playlist on my B&O speaker below. Now I am jamming to music! Music in the background is key to my success in research. My playlist consists of country, hip hop and sad rap. Sometimes EDM and K-rap. The music pump is real.
My favorite country artist and song rn is Hudson Westbrook - 5 to 9. Have a listen and let me know if it helps you in your research. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-mefHsmqDg
So this kind of reminds me of my days in university and doing research papers. Late nights and early mornings. Coffee nearby. Critical thinking is a must. Reading between the lines when you listen in on an earnings call. Jotting down only the things that matter. We are all and forever students of the markets.
Thanks for reading. Like this post if you want to see other ways I choose a stock. I am still the same @squeezekid. These are my only links: https://linktr.ee/squeezekid
