Is the community always toxic?
I’m new here… I just had my first interaction with someone asking about how specific news would cause a rally. First comment came by and offered that the news was less shitty than expected. Great, an actual response that made since and was productive. Then OP came by, he was the opposite of productive. Essentially calling me stupid for asking them to present their idea. Started personal attacks when explaining my view after being asked how I calculated things. It ended with a comment with more personal attacks that I can only read a few words due to (I assume) being blocked. Anyways, I joined to try and learn how to trade better and look out for market trends. I just have a small amount of money that I am playing with and would like to join a community. Am I in the wrong place?

I follow very few accounts on here, I can go to the latest tab to see the other BS, but those I respect ie want to listen to learn from are low in volume.

There are definitely folks here gambling and pumping. There are also folks here educating and sharing worthwhile information that can be hard to find on your own. Sit back and lurk for a short while to see who is providing that worthwhile information and who isn’t. Then make your educated decision on whether or not you want to stay here.

The for you page is filled with people trying to gain a following to get you off the app, paying them for a service. Find a couple users who post their trades and stick to following them. There’s a few accounts lately that just attack each other trying to be influencers or something. There’s some obvious red flags on accounts such as: asking for coins/telling people how to buy them and tip) they’re worthless), Facebook style posts (what’s your favorite colors?), or low follower accounts pretending they’re well known (less than 1,000). It’s a good app and I mostly just lurk

Follow some people you like, people who aren’t advertising a discord server, people who post their portfolio and talk about plays. Once you’ve followed people just stay away from the fyp!

At first, everyone you came by was nice, helpful, and wanted to help everyone. Now it is a bigger platform and I’ve also come across extremely angry people who tend to leave rude remarks no matter what you say. It’s best to find a few people you trust and follow them. Or else you’ll get lost in the negativity that people like to throw around. It’s frustrating and sad to see hate flood this app but it’s inevitable. Humans trading money probably lots of losers on here who will try to take the anger of losing out on random individuals here. Spy chat always a good community. But to continue even some of the big traders on here will be extremely rude. It’s honestly weird but, to each their own. I just stay in my own lane.

There are plenty of folks just starting, playing with small wallets, etc - unfortunately there are just as many assholes out there. People will be people, no matter the app or community you put them in. I've only been here a month and i believe the good folks at least outweigh the bad. If you've ever checked out Stocktwits, bashing each other is all they know how to do. Welcome friend, sorry for your experience, just mute em

Look at suggested people to follow. Check out their posts and decide who you want to follow

Jealousy-liars-hope. That is what’s making people in this community «toxic» as a newbie you should take info you get from others , read on things yourself and then see if it’s an investment u trust💰if u win, many people will be jealous. If you loose, you learn. Many people talk up stocks because they have them and talk with their ass, just because they want it to go up🍑

When you first started, you should have received a message from somebody called @vivian. When I first started, I read her message thoroughly and followed everyone on the list and then proceeded to browse. The people that I met were very nice and helped me to grow. I strongly suggest doing the same. One more thing, if somebody offends you block them and you won’t see them again. I hope this helps and I hope your stay gets more enjoyable
